1 The Plaintiff in Error, David Harold Meadows, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was charged, tried and convicted in the District Court of Stephens County with having committed the crime of Murder. It was alleged that he caused the death of his father, Edward Harold Meadows, on the 19th day of December, 1967, "by cutting and stabbing him with a hunting knife and then shooting him with a .22 caliber rifle."
